Forget the Circus, Follow the Cowboys

Dallas Cowboy Circus

In this age of sports, winning a title just does not cut it anymore. Sure it will help people forget all the problems, but now you have got to win in style. Just look at the San Antonio Spurs or Detroit Pistons. Yeah some people like to watch them, but more often than not people are crossing their fingers that the two won’t meet in the finals.

However, lets forget about the winning for a second. Although it has been over a decade since the Dallas Cowboys have won a playoff game, the team has been one of the top teams to watch and follow for every one of those years. They are always surrounded by many different types personalities, and nothing could be as “exciting” as it is now.

At the very top of it all you have the Ring Master, Jerry Jones. For decades now, he has been one of the most controversial and passionate owners any professional team could have. He is willing to spend the money and get the big names. He likes to take chances and he will quickly get rid of dead waste.

Then you have the duo of Terrell Owens and Tony Romo. What is more exciting than seeing what stunt Owens will pull next? How could you forget the emotions he laid out after losing in last years playoff or his publicist stating that Owens “has 25 million reasons to live.” What about the “Tour de France” outfit Owens revealed during off season, while Romo is busy living it up with his “Hollywood” girl. Having a city blame someone’s girlfriend for losing. It really is an interesting set of events.

Now Jones has given a chance to Tank Johnson and is even looking at acquiring Pacman Jones. On top of that, there are rumors circulating the Cowboys could be looking at Chad Johnson and even trading up to get a hold of Darren McFadden in this year’s draft. Just imagine having all these names and personalities in one locker room. JUST IMAGINE!

What a great circus that would be? Forget about winning, just watching them all get alone should be interesting enough.
